Despite being an intrinsic part of our identity, this can be a difficult question to answer. We all learn different things about being femininity from our mothers, or key female caregiver - usually from a different generation. Some caregivers are helpful, some are not. Knowing our identity as women is central in how happy we are by ourselves and in a relationship, so this is worth some exploration!
However, we do know how we are different from men! Just take a moment to consider your relationships and connection with other women. Now, compare these female relationships to how men interact. Women generally are more emotional and relational. Sadly, we can lose touch with these instincts in certain contexts, such as corporate careers, where we feel pressure to be more 'masculine' and less emotional, as I learned firsthand.
In Relationship
It's easy to use our emotional and relational insight to get the upper hand and feel in control over men, even if it’s unconsciously. However, this leaves us feeling sad, alone and angry, as we really yearn to feel special, wanted and met by them.
This list of resources is designed to help you get the most out of your relationships, and answer the most important questions you have about life, and womanhood.
