What resources have you found most helpful as you learn to be a parent? Are you aware of your approach and the choices you make?
In recent years, TV programmes and books about parenting have focused on how to develop 'good' behaviour in your child . At first glance, they feel logical and familiar, as they are all about parents being the authority in control. But do you really want to control your child(ren)? Will that give them the self-esteem and decision making skills to be happy as adult(s)? How can play help them help themselves?
If you are curious or wanting more choice, here are a few parenting books that are helping me find different ways. As well as others that provide facts, support or tools for children. Please share any you rate!
